Despite delays in the release of Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness, Eidos is hopeful about the release, which may be at the earliest May 2003. Regarding the delayed release of Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness, an Eidos developer said the game was held back about six months to "add polish".

Eidos is expecting to invest anywhere from £4.0 million to £5.0 in advertising for AoD. Eidos expects great success from Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness, and wishes to promote its stunning graphics and amazing gameplay.

"It's going to make a big splash. There is not a better-looking game on the market. The graphics are the best." said Eidos's Chief Executive Mike McGarvey
