What is the Tomb Raider Level Editor?

The Tomb Raider Level Editor (TRLE) level editor is the software which Core Design used to create the first 5 Tomb Raider games. They added this software as a bonus disc with Tomb Raider: Chronicles on the PC. With the TRLE CD you can create your own levels or play custom levels made by people.

How do I create my own level?

The general recommendation is to follow the tutorial contained in the guide. The guide can be very tedious to read though, so we recommend creating your own level using the techniques explained in the guide as you feel comfortable doing them.  It is pretty important to read through the whole guide because it gives a general overview of how the editor works, and will ultimately lead you to create an entertaining and diverse level.

Can I use the Tomb Raider Level Editor on any PC?

No. The TRLE we offer works only on a PC running on Windows XP or Windows Vista.
