Hellboy and Tomb Raider producer Lawrence Gordon recently said that most likely a third Tomb Raider production won't be made. According to Gordon, there isn't financial support for another Lara Croft Movie.

"The last Tomb Raider didn't score as high as we expected. Of course I'd like to make a third part, because Angelina Jolie is perfect as Lara Croft! Though, it won't be likely that it's going to happen," says the producer.

This news is, for a lot of Tomb Raider fans, totally unexpected. With a budget of 90 million dollars, Tomb Raider II made worldwide 154 million dollar in the cinemas, a sum which should be enough to realise a third movie. The time will tell.
