September 11, 2002 would seem like just an ordinary day for most people, and today you probably wouldn’t remember where you were or what you were doing. But for one young Belgian guy, that day was the beginning of something that would take over his life.

He first spotted Lara on his brother's PlayStation, and on the rare occasion he managed to sneak a turn, he knew he would soon become addicted.
Soon after this he received his first PC and his brother bought him TR3 … his very own Tomb Raider game … the love affair had now begun.

At the time Angel of Darkness was due to be released he had an idea. There were no other Dutch websites around, so why not build one?
Well for starters, he had no idea how to build a website, and had no idea where to search for content, he just wanted to share his love of the game, and maybe find some friends along the way, others who shared his passion.
Soon an html website had been created and tombraider.be was born, and it wasn’t long after a message board was added.
First one member joined and then another and very soon they were all having so much fun, the seeds had been planted and the roots were starting to grow.

Now he had some friends to help out, and friends who had the knowledge he needed to help the community grow. The branches were now starting to form and by February 2003 English speaking members were joining too.
At this point English forums had to be created so everyone could join in the fun.
By March 2005 tombraiderboard.com was the new domain name and tombraiderinc the website.
By this time members from across the globe had registered, some just dropping by for up-to-date game information, others just happy to be around like minded friends.
A community was growing … the leaves we finally here.

Much of his time was now spent trying to keep the website updated, moderating the forums and still finding time to go to work and pay the server fees. But he was happy to do so, as he felt he was bringing pleasure to others, this was his reward.
He now had some close friends and they had formed a team, all working towards one goal. All trying to bring something to the Tomb Raider fan world which made a difference.
As time has moved on there is a terrific atmosphere for people to come and go as they please. New members register daily, on the hunt for information,  just to find friends with something in common, or maybe they need online support for a game. All can be found within the realms of TombRaiderInc, and much more too.

With various projects under their belts the team have worked together to bring a mine of information for Raiders across the globe. Long may this continue!
